TEACHING and EDUCATION

For over five years, I have been privileged to teach hundreds of future health care professionals.  I have taught undergraduate students majoring in the health sciences, physical therapy graduate students, occupational therapy graduate students, physician assistant graduate students and medical students.  I believe a sound foundation in anatomy is essential to becoming a competent health care provider and I am in the unique position to help students make the connection between what they learn in my classroom and what they will see during their careers in the clinic or lab.  I am passionate about providing that foundation for my students.

At the University of Missouri-Columbia, I oversee anatomical education for undergraduate students who are interested in entering the health care field.   I teach two types of courses:

     1) Blended active-learning courses where the students learn much of the material outside the classroom so they can focus on mastery and application when we meet weekly.

     2) Fully-online courses where we have virtual synchronous meetings once a week.  I have been working diligently to develop these courses and provide the best educational experience possible for my students.
